From finished top to finished quilt!

You can double click on any of the images to make them larger. custodia iphone x marca This is a quilt top that my friend, Michele, had in her craft room that wasn’t going anywhere. There were age stains from being folded a certain way.DSC06358You can see the interesting fabrics used. Feed sacks and flour sacks, some of the markings still intact. I used Retro Soak to remove many of the stains (markings did not diminish) and brightened the entire top.DSC06357Sometimes coping strips had to be added to the block to make it the right size. No problem! Points missing? Still no problem! DSC06362Some very unusual fabrics were included in the baskets. custodia iphone 6 glitterate It’s not a charm quilt though, because there are some duplicates in basket fabrics. This piecer didn’t even try to hide the stitches! DSC06364So I loaded it on the Gammill the long way and worked the magic with the machine. DSC06361 Overall, the quilting makes the quilt. custodia integrale iphone 5s The brown binding was “close” and finishes it off nicely.DSC06376I’m so happy to put this quilt in the “done” pile. It is full of character, and totally useful now that it’s done.

    Beautiful as usual:). Hope all is good for you. I’m working on some things that are out of my comfort zone. Lol. Wouldn’t take much. Any way I even gave my self a dead line so we shall see.
