OH MY GOODNESS!! You should smell my studio now, it is like walking in a field in Provence. It is just heavenly. I stored the buds in a 5 gallon zip top bag for future use in pillows and sachets. It is the Grosso variety, which has the sweetest fragrance and is most desirable because of that scent.

I have made lavender wands, but I’ve never soaked them in water before bending the tops down. I use a needle nose pliers and pinch the stem directly under the buds then bend the stems over the flowers and weave. I might try soaking them next year when I get the new harvest. Thanks for the idea!
Pam I love it. How wonderful you studio must smell. I’ve relined my chest of drawers and tossed in a few little bags of lavender (and a wand from you) and it is a sweet treat when I get dressed. Makes me want to keep the drawers open. LOL

Yes, it smells very much like lavender yet, I love it. My mom used to keep a pomander ball in her chest of drawers. It was an orange poked with cloves. I can still smell that smell when I think of her. Sweet.
