Long arm machine quilting practice

I finished another quilt top that has been hanging around my studio for longer than I care to admit. custodia iphone 7 plus libro It feels good getting projects completed. I pinned the quilt on before Christmas, but I had lots of activity around that time and didn’t get a chance to work on it much. We took a drive up the coast this past week and returned home last night. The quilt was calling my name this morning and I finished it!! I did fairly heavy quilting, a small stipple around the squares, an ocean wave in the peach stripes, loop de loos in the borders and a flower in the 4-patch. I need a LOT more practice, but this one will be totally acceptable once it is washed and shrunken up a bit. sycode custodia iphone 8 I used random printed pieces for the back, and it is totally charming. Not my color way though, so I can pass it along rather easily. The projects to the left were gifts to my Wednesday night sewing students. Two bird pin cushions and a tomato pin cushion are filled with crushed English walnut shells. The two birds also have lavender inside. The sewing kit was a fun thing to make with scraps of wool and cardboard fillers to give it some body. custodia iphone 6 pink I’m going to pin another quilt on the Gammill now and then we’re off to celebrate the last day of 2011.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to you too! Did not quite finish my end of year “to do” list. Believe it or not I do have RRCB on the Gammill (finally). On a sadder note we lost ‘Gigi’ this past Wednesday. Back to the paying job tomorrow. DH has already started wifey withdrawal.

Well, you’re starting the year off right with a quilt on the Gammill. You will plow through it in no time. I’m so sorry to hear about Gigi, I know how much she was loved and I’m sure there is an empty place in your heart. She will be dearly missed.
